En la celebración de la Tarde Temática del 15 de noviembre en la universidad de Copenhague, las activistas nicaragüenses Mafe Carrero y Gaby Baca, la ecuatoriana Laura Ponce Gartmann y la colombo-española Lizethe A. Echeverry Söderlind, compartieron sus inspiradoras experiencias, sobre los logros y avances obtenidos por las “minorías” en las diferentes luchas políticas, sociales, ambientales, feministas, indigenistas, sexuales y de géneros; en las que cada una de estas especialistas participan como actores fundamentales.
Así mismo, nos brindaron sus testimonios de acción y resistencia, señalando que, aunque sus luchas son mal tildadas como las de las “minorías”, en realidad representan una mayoría que incansablemente, con humor, y optimismo sigue y seguirá luchando hasta lograr que sus demandas sean escuchadas en la búsqueda de un cambio democrático y no excluyente en el seno de la sociedad latinoamericana.
En el evento también pudimos escuchar en la voz de varias de las activistas como se produce una doble vulneración en los grupos indígenas, los cuales rechazan la diversidad sexual y de géneros debido a una cultura patriarcal y el marcado machismo existente en América Latina, a castigar y/o expulsar las personas indígenas con diversidad sexual y de género, exponiéndose a una cultura nueva donde padecen múltiples discriminaciones, por ejemplo: Ser mujer, ser indígena y ser transexual.
Por último, algunas de las activistas intervinieron con conmovedores testimonios sobre las persecuciones de las que fueron víctimas; el encarcelamiento y la tortura que una de ellas vivió por defender sus derechos personales.

At the celebration of the Thematic Afternoon at november 15th at University og Copenhagen the Nicaraguan activists Mafe Carrero and Gaby Baca, the Ecuadorian Laura Ponce Gartmann and the Colombian-Spanish Lizethe A. Echeverry Söderlind, shared their inspiring experiences about their achievements and progress, obtained by the minorities in the different struggles: political, social, environmental, feminist, indigenous, sexual and gender; in which everyone of the specialists were the mail character.
In the same way, they offer us their testimonies of action and resistance, pointing out that despote their struggle, wrongly labeled as minorities, in reality a majority, tireslessly with humor and optimism, continuing the struggle, until their demands are heard, searching for a democratic change and not exclusively in the centre of the Latin American society.
During the event, we also heard the voices of various activists who have a double vulnerability; the indigenous who reject their sexual and gender diversity due to a patriarchal culture and a supressing male chauvinisme existing in Latin America, that punishes and throws out the indigenous persons of sexual and gender diversity and exposes them to multiple discriminatio, for example; to be woman, indigenous and transgender.
Last, some of the activists intervened with moving testimonies of persecutions of the victims; the imprisonment and torture of one of them, who lived to defend her personal rights.
