‘Women defenders in Guatemala: promoting safe spaces for the
prevention of violence’

In April 2025 we initiated the project titled ‘Women defenders in Guatemala:
promoting safe spaces for the prevention of violence’ with our partner
CIPREVICA (Centro de Investigación para la Prevención de la Violencia en
Centroamérica) in Guatemala. The project aims to strengthen women's leadership
and empowerment while fostering new masculinities as allies in violence
prevention efforts in two municipalities of Quiché.
